My crits:
- you should work more on colors
- anatomy - even if it's a goblins anatomy ^_-
- Light and shadow
Good work on details and background - I like that you don't neglect secondary objects to bring atmosphere to your work . Well done!03/03/08 @540
Hmm, I don't like very rich color. And I want to paint some in orange tone.
I agree, goblins anatomy is also anatomy.
Can you write about anatomy incorrection, please? I can't see what you think

I like the colours as they are, and overall its a solid work.

Anatomy. Well first of - look on his hands. Left hand in perspective should be a bit smaller, but for sure not bigger as it's now. It could be bigger if he was turning to the left - but he doesn't so check it out.
No muscles at all - I can take it, but he's thin - look at such a thin person at real life - he can replace a book of anatomy ^_-
Neck and torso can use some work too
And check the hands at the shoulder areas - you made there unnecessary wrinkles - I think it's the most problematic part.
In short - when I'm not sure - I'm just taking my cam and walking 3 meters to the mirror ^_- or catching my boyfriend to pose for me
And,of course, the ears! Where're another 5 ears?!!! What do you think of?!!

I painted this by my brother, but he is a little muscular and I want to paint think creature with little big head and long pointy ears with deformed ear-lobe. He is looks as a human, big as a human, or little smaller, evil and malicious. He is living origin in forrest. (Local fairy-tale.) I don't know better English name than goblin.
Here is step by step:

Could use a bit more contrast though.

My ex boy- friend is veeery thin - he is a walking anatomy book.
My current bf - is not that thin but I'm using him too. You can find his portrait at my gallery
